Hello and Happy New Year!
It has been a while since I've posted anything. I wanted to show you some great new stamp sets and Designer Series Paper. The new January - June 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration start on January 5. I was working on some swaps and wanted to show you the super simple and cute fun fold card I made for my swaps. You can watch the YouTube video below:
I used the new Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper, which is a Sale-A-Bration item. That means, if you spend $50, you can get the DSP for free! Now that's a deal! I also used the new Circle Celebration stamp set, which is in the new January - June 2021 Mini Catalog and the Approaching Perfection stamp set, which is also a Sale-A-Bration item. You can also get the Approaching Perfection stamp set for free with a $50 purchase.
The Oh So Ombre DSP coordinates with Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay, Rococo Rose, and Granny Apple Green. The cards I made for the swap are each monochromatic, and I made cards in each color. Below is a picture of the Rococo Rose card.
Here are all of the colors of cards I made for the swap:
To make the cards, start with a card base (Granny Apple Green, Blackberry Bliss, Rococo Rose, or Bermuda Bay) that is 4 1/4" x 11". Score on the long side at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4". Fold on the 2 3/4" score line away from the front of the card so your card looks like a "Z".
You need two pieces of Whisper White (or Bright White) cardstock cut at 4" x 2 1/2" and a piece of DSP cut at 3 7/8" x 2 5/8". Glue the DSP to one of the Whisper White pieces. Glue the DSP/WW layer onto the front flap - put glue only on the left side of the layer. Stamp on the other piece of the Whisper White. Put glue on the back and line it up upside down (glue side up) on the back of the DSP/WW layer then fold the back flap of the card onto it so it is glued onto the inside of the card exactly lined up with the DSP/WW layer.
Stamp the circles and sentiment (I used the Approaching Perfection Sale-A-Bration set for the sentiment) on scrap piece of Whisper White using the coordinating stamp pad and punch out the circles with the 2" punch, the 1 1/2" punch and the smallest circle from the Layering Circles dies. Layer these pieces with dimensionals on top of the DSP layer.
That's it! These cards are so fun and quick and easy to make. What a cute Birthday card! This is a pattern you can use with a lot of stamp sets and DSP and colors. And the fun fold makes it just a little more interesting. Add some ribbon or bling or sparkle - whatever you like.
