Hi there! I'm glad you stopped by my blog today! I wanted to show you a couple of cards using a suite in the new Mini Catalog that goes live on Friday, January 3! We are so close!
I love, love, love this suite of products! So much fun!
Here is the YouTube video demonstrating the projects:
Here is the card I made in the video.
For this card, I used the Heartfelt Bundle and the Heart to Heart bundle. You could make these cards using only one of the bundles if you didn't have both. The Heartfelt bundle is part of the From My Heart Suite. I also used the Real Red 3/8" Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon, From My Heart Faceted Gems, DSP, and the Heart Doilies. Again, you could make these cards without all of those elements, as well. You could use rhinestones or pearls instead of the faceted gems. You could use other ribbon that you have. You could use just the Heart punches, rather than the doilies. I would recommend that you have the Detailed Hearts dies as those really make these cards and they are so versatile - you can do so much with them!
For the card, start with a thick Whisper White card base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
From a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock that is 5 1/2" x 4 1/8", die cut the Detailed Hearts. Do the same from a piece of Real Red cardstock of the same size. Punch out all of the hearts and remove the Detailed Hearts single piece from the background piece. Be careful not to tear any of the solid parts of the background piece.
Attach the background piece (either Flirty Flamingo or Real Red) to the card base. Attach the Die cut of the opposite color in the cut out space. Doesn't that just really pop! I love how that looks!
Tie a bow in a piece of the ribbon, leaving the left "tail" longer than the right "tail". Attach the ribbon to the center of the card, with the bow toward the right side and the longer tail stretching across to the other side of the card from the bow.
Stamp the sentiment and outline heart around it on a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock. Punch it out using the heart punch with no scallops. Punch a heart from a piece of the DSP using the scalloped heart punch.
Adhere the sentiment heart to the scalloped heart using liquid glue or snail adhesive. Adhere the sentiment and scalloped heart to a Heart Doily using dimensionals. Adhere the heart element to the card on top of the long piece of ribbon, to the left of the bow, using dimensionals. Add faceted gems to the front of the card.
Stamp the sentiment and solid hearts inside the card.
Isn't that adorable! I just love how this card looks! And, you have the opposite negative and die cuts that you didn't use left over to make another card. Here's the other card I made using the other pieces I had left.
And here is the finished card of the one I was demonstrating toward the end of the video. This card uses only the Heart Punches and the Heartfelt sentiments. I think it turned out super cute too!
