Here is the video demonstrating how I made my project for this blog hop.
I wanted to try to make a poinsettia for this card so I used the Pop of Petals stamp set and Real Red cardstock. I also used some bulbs from the Bulb Builder punch to put it together.
I also started with a "wreath" of snowflakes using the snowflakes from the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set. I used a wreath-builder template from Gina K Designs and the Stamparatus - but this wreath would be easy to stamp using the snowflake stamp. It's a photopolymer stamp and easy to see where to place it. The snowflakes are stamped with Seaside Spray ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I added die cut snowflakes from the Christmas Layers dies on top of the wreath.
Here's the card I made - I really like how the poinsettia turned out.
Start with a Real Red card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2"). The next layer is a piece of Shaded Spruce that is 4" x 5 1/4". The wreath is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla cut at 3 3/4" x 3 3/4". Adhere the Very Vanilla layer to the Shaded Spruce layer toward the top. Add a piece of Toile Tidings DSP (3 3/4" x 1 1/4") below the bottom of the Very Vanilla layer. Add a piece of Real Red Curly Ribbon along the seam where the Very Vanilla meets the DSP.
Stamp two flowers from the Pop of Petals stamp set on Real Red cardstock. Build the poinsettia using the two punched flowers offset. Add some punched bulbs to the back of the poinsettia. Adhere at the bottom of the Very Vanilla layer. Add leaves punched from Shaded Spruce cardstock using the Leaf punch. Add holly leaves die cut using Cup of Cheer dies. Add Real Red Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dot to center of poinsettia.
Stamp sentiment in Versamark ink on Shaded Spruce cardstock (1/2" wide). Emboss using Shimmer White Embossing Powder. Banner both ends using Triple Banner Punch. Adhere to wreath using Stampin' Dimensionals.
