Here is the video demonstrating how I made my project for this blog hop.
And here is a picture of the project that I have made for our hop today:
I used the So Many Stars bundle for this card and I just love it! So many different stars in the Stitched Stars dies and that element with the stars and swirls that is behind the sentiment is super versatile. The So Many Stars stamp set also has some really great fonts and sentiments. I also used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to make the background.
Instructions for making the card are below the list of other bloggers in the blog hop, in case you are interested.
Here are instructions for making the card:
Start with a Gray Granite cardstock card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2"). The layers are Night of Navy cardstock (5 3/8" x 4 1/8") and Whisper White cardstock (5 1/4" x 4").
Using the trees mask from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks, create background on Whisper White cardstock layer using Gray Granite ink. Stamp the clusters of stars at the top of the Whisper White layer using Night of Navy ink. Use both the cluster of outlined stars and the cluster of "dotted" stars to stamp stars along the top of the Whisper White layer. Emboss the Whisper White layer using the Subtles 3D embossing folder.
Adhere Whisper White layer to Night of Navy layer and adhere both layers to card base.
Die cut second largest and third largest stitched stars from Night of Navy cardstock. Cut the medium sized and smallest more intricate stars from Night of Navy cardstock. Cut the larger more intricate star from Gray Granite cardstock. Layer the larger Gray Granite star onto the smaller solid star. Stamp the intricate star stamp in Versamark ink on the larger solid star. Emboss with Shimmer White embossing powder.
Stamp the sentiment on Gray Granite cardstock and cut out using an oval die from the Stitched Shapes dies. Make sure the sentiment is toward the left side of the oval because you will cut off part of oval on the right side. Die cut the swirly stars from Night of Navy cardstock. Cut the die cut in the middle and adhere to back of sentiment.
Adhere elements to the card. The largest star and sentiment are adhered using Stampin Dimensionals. Cut the right side of the oval off where it hangs off the edge of the card.
Use Wink of Stella to add glitter to some of the stars. Add rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basics Jewels (Night of Navy) to the sentiment.
